After a very popular initial release of the latest addition to the Predator line, Adidas has given their wearers new colors to pick from. The launch colorway was surely a bright and bold combination of Bright Blue/Infrared/Collegiate Navy/White, and it was easily seen on the pitch. But for those that were not as fond of the first colorways, these new ones might be for you.

The first color we will be showcasing is the Predator Running White/Black/Infrared/Bright Blue. Most of the upper is white, but like the past colorways, it fades into another color by the heel; on this particular colorway the white fades into black. All five lethal zones on this boot are infrared, which is kind of a bright red-orange color. I truly do like this color combination, as the infrared really stands out from the white underneath. Something that still puzzles me about this specific colorway, is where the actual bright blue comes in.

Secondly, we have the Bright Gold/Black/White colorway. From first glances of online pictures, the bright gold seems much more orange rather than gold. If I were to compare it to any other past boot, it reminds me of a darker orange Vapor IV. The gold does fade back into a black, and the rubber lethal zones are all black.

Nothing about the new releases is actually different structurally, but new colors have been added. The five Lethal Zones are still the exact same, as you get: first touch, dribble, drive, sweet spot, and pass.

Adidas’ new hybrid L-S is being used as the primary upper material. Like Nike’s Kanga-Lite, the Hybrid L-S combines the feel of leather and the waterproof and enhanced durability of synthetic, to create a better all-around boot. Along with the new upper, the LZ is miCoach compatible like all other Adidas’ newest lines.

Along with everything else in the boot, the soleplate is now very similar to the adiZero soleplate in terms of stud configuration. Traxion 2.0 is the official name of the stud configuration that is meant to help grip and acceleration in all directions.
